Mohammed’s iPhone app draws the world

The Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) has announced that the iPhone application of the official website of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, was highly welcomed by users.

Since its launch, the application has gained wide local and international interest. Technical monitoring reports have recorded a growing demand from users who installed the application to their devices from various countries.

Ahmad Abdullah Al Sheikh, Director General of Dubai Government Media Office said: “The engineering team in charge for the operation of the website records a growing number of users who installed the new application on their devices. We are delighted to initiate a new channel of communication with the public to present them with a direct and easy access to the website’s content through this new iPhone application. Users will be immediately notified of any updates on the website’s content, either news, photos, videos or other information.”

Users of the new application belong to different geographic regions, from USA, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.

The new application is available for installation through App Store" and "iTunes" and their search engines by searching for "Mohammed bin Rashid" or "Sheikh Mohammed".
