National Day holidays: Work timings for Dewa, RTA, DHA, AHS, immigration...

Not all government departments will remain closed on the occasion of the UAE’s 43rd National Day.

Some departments in the emirate will remain functional over the next few days of government holidays, albeit for limited hours and services.

Dewa
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) will remain closed on December 2, but some of its centres like the head office in Al Garhoud, in Deira and its Discovery Garden centre will remain open on December 3 and 4 from 8.30am to 3pm.

RTA
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will continue providing its services to customers. However, starting from Tuesday, December 2, all its customer service centres will remain closed during the National Day holidays, and will resume service on Sunday, December  7.

Dubai Health Authority

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced on Monday  the working hours for the DHA administration, hospitals, primary health centres and medical fitness centres during the 43nd UAE National Day public holidays.

Timing of DHA hospitals:  DHA Hospitals ( Rashid, Latifa, Dubai and Hatta) will work as per shift timings and medical practitioners will be on call to ensure work continues as usual.

The emergency departments of  all DHA hospitals will be functional round-the-clock on all days.

Outpatient and specialist clinics will be closed from December 2 and will reopen on Sunday December 7. Outpatient clinic at Hatta hospital will be open on from December 2 to December 4 from 8 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 9pm.

Timings of primary healthcare centres(PHCs):

Nad Al Hamar and Al Barsha health centres will  function 24 hours on all days.

The Al Lusaily health centre will be open from  8 am to 3 pm.

All other primary healthcare centres and the Family Gathering Centre will be closed from December 2 and will reopen on Sunday December 7.
Medical Fitness Centres

Al Muhaisnah medical fitness centre will be closed on Tuesday December 2 and will be open on December 3 and 4 from 8am to 1pm.

All other DHA medical fitness centres will remain closed from December 2 and will reopen on December 7.

Dubai Municipality and Dubai Land Department

Dubai Municipality and Dubai Land Department will remain closed starting December 2 and will resume work on Sunday, December 7 – so keep your work scheduled accordingly.

Immigration services
Immigration services will not be available at most centres of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai but the centres in Al Manara and Al Tawar will be functional from 9am to 1pm during the holidays.

Emirates Post 
Emirates Post centres will remain closed on December 2 and 3, but there is still no clarification on December 4 (Thursday) as some centres may stay open, a call centre executive told Emirates 24|7.

Ambulatory Healthcare Services, Abu Dhabi

Ambulatory Healthcare Services, AHS, a Seha health system facility, has announced the operating hours of its healthcare centers across the emirate during the 43rd UAE National Day holidays.

The healthcare centers at Al Khatem, Remah, Sweihan, Al Qua’a and Al Hayer will function round-the-clock throughout National Day holidays from Tuesday, December 2 until Saturday, December 6.

All other AHS healthcare centers will remain closed on Tuesday  December 2 and Wednesday December 3. Additionally, Al Zafaranah, Al Rowda, Al Khaleej, Al Madina, Al Samha, Al Shamkha, Madinat Mohammed Bin Zayed, Al Nahda, Zakher, Al Maqam, Al Niyadat, Al Faqa, Al Khabisi, Oud Al Touba healthcare centers as well as Al Dhafra and Mafraq dental centers will remain closed from Tuesday  December 2 until Saturday December 6.

Healthcare centers that will remain open on Thursday December 4 and Saturday December 6 from 12noon to 8pm include Ettihad, Madinat Khalifa, Al Bahia, Al Maqta’a, Baniyas, Al Hili, Al Muwaiji, Al Masoodi, Neima and Al Jahili healthcare centers. Both Al Khazna and Al Shwaib healthcare centers will function on December 4 from 12noon to 8pm and December 6 from 9am to 9pm.
 
Al Yahar Healthcare Centre will operate on both Thursday December 4 and Saturday December 6 from 12noon to 8pm and on Friday December 5 from 3pm to 10pm, while Mezyad Healthcare Centre will remain open for patients on Thursday,December 4 from 12 noon to 8pm, on Friday December 5 from 3pm to 10pm, and on Saturday December 6 from 7pm to 10pm.

Al Bateen Healthcare Centre will function only on Saturday December 6 from 12noon to 8pm and Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Dental Centres from 8am to 8pm.   

All disease prevention and screening centers within the Ambulatory Healthcare Services network will remain closed on December 2, 3 and 4 and will resume regular working hours on December 7, except Abu Dhabi disease prevention and screening center which will resume regular working hours on December 6.
