The first women’s only hospital in the UAE, the Brightpoint Royal Women’s Hospital, has opened in Abu Dhabi.

While there are separate women sections in many hospitals, this deluxe 100-bed healthcare facility is the first women’s-only hospital in the UAE,  started by NMC Healthcare, a leading private healthcare provider in the GCC.

NMC claims it will now start a chain of women’s-only hospitals in all seven emirates of the UAE.

Speaking to Emirates 24|7, Dr B R Shetty, Chairman NMC Group and CEO and Founder of NMC Healthcare said: “We will be setting up similar women’s only hospitals in other emirates of the UAE.

“The Brightpoint Royal Women’s Hospital will only allow patients and a majority of the doctors are female.”

The Brightpoint Royal allows husbands of patients to be with them during admission for delivery and for some hospital jobs, males are employed.
