No change in visa rules as result of bomb plot

There are no changes in the procedures for issuing visas, said Major General Nasser Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Undersecretary at the Ministry of interior for Naturalisation and Residence. 

He stressed “ the measures of issuing the visa to UAE is in accordance with the procedures stipulated by law to enter and stay in the country.

Maj Gen Al Menhali confirmed the  inspection and security  procedures adopted on the ports and outlets and naturalisation and residency departments in UAE is very strict.

He told Al Ittihad newspaper: “The security measures adopted by the Ministry of Interior at all ports and airports of the UAE is strong enough to avoid any breach of security."

He pointed out that the threats witnessed by many countries in the world during the past few days did not impact the performance of the departments of Naturalisation and Residency or led to the issuance of visas for the entry of foreigners to visit or to work in UAE.

“The Ministry of Interior in all departments follows the latest systems and provides the best mechanisms to provide strict procedures to monitor the border and control immigration in the UAE said Al Menhali.

He stressed that the security procedures followed by the UAE airports are in common and sophisticated.
