Old woman divorces husband for 'late adolescence'

A 78-year-old Egyptian woman divorced her husband, 86, after accusing him of behaving like a teenager by flirting with a 19-year-old girl living next door.

Mahasen told court in Cairo that she wanted to split from her husband after he refused to stop flirting with the girl, who she said was like his granddaughter.

“The woman told the judge that her husband had brought up the girl’s father. She is like his granddaughter but he would not stop flirting with her.

“She said her husband was living a period of late adolescence,” a court source said, quoted by local newspapers.
The report said the court decided to grant the woman a divorce after several sessions that lasted more than nine months.
