After a series of air disasters across the globe, passengers are wary to fly and it seems even the crew can feel the pressure.

Drama unfolded aboard a French Boeing 737 when the captain issued a crash warning.

Passengers on Europe Airpost flight from Croatia to France apparently flew into a panic after hearing weeping captain announce that the plane's engines have stopped working.

The incident took place over Venice and the captain announced the plane might have to ditch into the sea and explode.

The captain's warning sparked panic and passengers were "screaming" inside the cabin.

Yahoo news reports that soon after take-off the pilot had said they will fly into some turbulence.

Passengers at the back of the plane noticed that one engine had stopped working which was confirmed by the captain.

Europe Airpost denied any panic aboard following the captain's announcement.

The spokesperson said that the crew spotted an issue with the engine and decided to land in Venice and inform the passengers.

It was a procedural practice by the crew, who landed the plane safely in Venice.
