Paramedics hurt attending crash victims

Two ambulance crew were injured while attending to an accident victim on Dhaid road on Sunday, while six others were hurt when their vehicle collided with a camel, reported Emarat Al Youm.

Sharjah Police rescue team including an ambulance rushed to the site upon receiving information about a three-car collision at Intersection 12 on the road from Dhaid towards Sharjah.

Motorists had suffered minor injuries in the accident.

As two paramedics were administrating first-aid to the injured, another car that came speeding suddenly swerved hitting the two nurses.

While the male nurse was discharged after receiving treatment, the female nurse is admitted in intensive care and is under observation, according to a source at Al Dhaid Hospital.

Stray camel

In another accident in that area, six members of an Asian family, including four children, were hurt when their vehicle hit a stray camel on Manama-Dhaid road.

The injuries ranged between moderate and minor. According to the report the driver attempted to avoid hitting the camel on the middle of the road.
