Three text messages make Kris Aquino’s day

Three text messages per day is what makes presidential sister Kris Aquino’s day these days.

She’s not telling whom these messages are coming from, but showbiz insiders swear it’s no other than movie and TV director Lino Cayetano, brother of Senators Allan Peter Cayetano and Pia Cayetano.

Insiders say that Cayetano, who is now on a leave from his TV and movie projects, is the perfect guy for Aquino, as he is intelligent, good-looking, and belongs to one of the country’s most prominent political families.

Also a son of the late senator Rene Cayetano, the movie and TV director is now running for congressman for the fourth district of Taguig, a suburb of Metro Manila, in the May 13 national and congressional elections.

“He does not only have good breeding and intellectual acumen, he also has the political connection and a blossoming career as a movie and TV director,” one showbiz insider has said. “In other words, he has the maturity and character that would not be intimidated by the success that Kris Aquino has attained.”

Staffers at Aquino’s teleserye ‘Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw (All I Want is You) on ABS-CBN, meanwhile, were praises for her performance, saying this could be the TV drama series where she could get all the awards from major award-giving bodies.

Aquino’s kissing and other intimate scenes with her leading man—Robin Padilla—in the TV series had caught the attention of his wife, who reportedly got jealous at some point.

This prompted Padilla to defend his wife before the media, although he also explained to her the need for him and Aquino to do those scenes in accordance with the script.

It may be recalled that Padilla and Aquino were once an item during their younger days in the entertainment industry.

Aquino has two sons by the award-winning actor Phillip Salvador and by the professional basketball player James Yap respectively.
