Rat-infested restaurant shut in Saudi

Saudi health authorities shut down a popular restaurant after a film circulated on social networks showed the place is infested with rats.

Authorities moved against the restaurant in the capital Riyadh following public complaints that the place lacks the minimum hygienic conditions.
Sabq newspaper said the film showed a large number of rats moving inside the restaurant and the adjoining kitchen and published complaints by angered readers calling for the closure of the restaurant.

“Health inspectors finally went the restaurant and shut it down…officials said stiff measures will also be taken against its owners,” it said.
