An Arab expatriate in Saudi Arabia is to be lashed 120 times with the whip and deported after spending six months in prison for trying to blackmail a handicapped Saudi woman, Ihsaa news daily reported on Saturday.
A court in the eastern province of Ihsaa found the unidentified man guilty of blackmailing the woman after he threatened to publicize their phone conversations unless she agrees to go out with him, the paper said.
“The man misled the handicapped woman into believing that he wants to marry her and that she should go out with him,” it said.
“When she refused, he threatened to publicize their phone conversations…she then told her father, who informed the police.”
