18.5 kg tumour taken from woman’s belly

Saudi doctors removed an 18.5 kg tumour from a woman’s abdomen in a successful operation that lasted several hours, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The woman, in her 20s, had suffered from severe pains in the abdomen for more than three years before doctors discovered the huge tumor inside her abdomen.

“She was admitted to hospital with a big swelling in the abdomen and images showed she had a tumour, which was successfully removed,” Sabq Arabic language daily said in a report from the western Saudi town of Makkah.
