40-day old girl crushed to death by dad

A Saudi father ran over his 40-day-old daughter and crushed her to death with his car tyres during a fit of madness triggered by a heated argument with his wife’s relatives, a newspaper reported on Monday.

After knocking over the baby, the unnamed father fled the scene, leaving relatives to pick the crushed girl and rush her to hospital.

“The girl died on arrival in hospital after she was knocked over by her father who had no paternal feelings,” Sharq daily said in a report from the northeastern town of Hafr Al Batin. “The father was arrested and is subject to investigation.”
