A Saudi man who bought a box of frozen chicken was surprised when he checked the slaughtered birds and found that one of them still had its head.

The man said he bought the box from a famous shop in the northwestern town of Taimaa and that it carried the words “slaughtered according to Sharia.”

“When I saw that chicken, I started to doubt whether they were slaughtered according to Sharia,” he told Sabq newspaper.

He said he returned the box to the shop and informed health authorities, adding that they promised to investigate the case.
