Addict kills daughter, hides body in freezer

A Kuwaiti drug addict murdered his four-year-old daughter after torturing her. He then hid the body in the meat freezer at his house in the Gulf emirate before it was discovered by police, a Kuwaiti newspaper reported on Monday.

The Arabic language daily ‘Alrai’ said the crime sent shock waves through the oil-rich country after Salim Abdullah Yohan confessed to torturing his daughter, Asmaa, with a power cable and hot water before she succumbed to death.

He then hid the body in the meat freezer in the back garden to mislead police, the paper said, adding that investigators were shocked when they found the body.

“His wife helped him torture the child and cover up for his crime. The husband first claimed his daughter died after taking his medicine but he confessed later.”
