Afghan man carries mom through Hajj in Saudi

An Afghan man carried his aging mother on his back for two days during the Hajj (pilgrimage) rites in Saudi Arabia this week.

A newspaper said its photographer in Hajj captured the picture which showed a “triple” dream was fulfilled.

“He fulfilled his dream of coming for Haj and helping his mother perform Hajj before her death…the mother also achieved her dream of coming to the sacred shrine,” the Saudi Arabic language daily Sabq said.

“The picture is also a real and genuine illustration of the man’s dedication and love of his mother.”
