Air Arabia makes emergency landing

An Air Arabia flight made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday after a passenger fell ill and needed to be hospitalised, a Saudi newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The aircraft of the Sharjah-based carrier was en route from Dubai to the Egyptian Mediterranean port of Alexandria when the 67-year-old passenger felt ill because of pain in the chest, the online Arabic language daily 'Sabq' said.

The plane landed at an airport in the central province of Hail, where the patient was transferred to hospital.
