A bomb scare sparked by a passenger on a Kuwait-Mumbai Air India flight led to the plane making an emergency landing at Muscat.
According to Oman News Agency, a passenger on board the Boeing 737 aircraft told a cabin crew about a bomb on board.
After evacuating the 160 passengers and crew, police searched the entire aircraft to establish it as a hoax. The plane was cleared for take off soon after.
But the news agency did not say what action was taken on the passenger who sparked the scare.
