At least 31 people, most of them civilians, were killed in a powerful car bomb targeting the ruling Baath Party headquarters in central Damascus on Thursday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
"At least 31 people were killed and dozens wounded, the majority civilians," the watchdog reported. Syrian state television described the attack as a suicide bombing.
