Members of Saudi Arabia’s most feared Islamic law enforcement group stormed a party at a rest house in the Gulf Kingdom and arrested its organizers on charges of staging obscene acts, a local newspaper reported on Saturday.

The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice seized an Indonesian woman, described as the mastermind of the party, and 13 other persons involved in the event, Kabar Arabic language daily said.

Several members of the Commission stormed the rest house in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah and arrested 14 people, including the mastermind, six other Indonesian women, four Saudi men, two Yemeni and Turkish men and a Saudi woman, the paper said, quoting Commission sources.

“They had watched the people coming to the party and noticed that they included a large number of young men and women…they stormed it and caught many of them red-handed as they were involved in obscene acts….the Indonesian woman confessed to organizing such parties before.”
