Baby crawls into water container and drowns

An 11-month-old boy crawled to his death into a tiny water container placed by his father inside their house in Saudi Arabia, Alyoum daily reported Saturday.

The baby was left playing alone near the one-metre-long low container before he apparently crawled into it and drowned, the paper said.

His father, who had been to the toilet, looked into the 60-cm deep container after he could not find his son, it said.

“He found him inside the container and rushed him to the nearby health centre but he was already dead,” it said.
