A man in Kuwait used an axe to chop off the head of a Bangladeshi farmer then burned his body following a dispute over a camel, a local daily said on Thursday.

The 26-year-old man, a bedoun resident without nationality, had warned the Bangladeshi farmer not to tell his father that he killed a camel at their farm because he was drunk and did not mean to kill the animal.

But the Bangladeshi, who works at the murderer’s farm, told his father about the incident, prompting the man to plan to kill the farmer.

“The defendant told police that he decided to take revenge. He went to the farm and found the Bangladeshi farmer alone. He chopped off his head with an axe then used a knife to stab him many times before burning his body,” the paper said.

The defendant’s father had phoned the police to inform them about the murder and guided them to the charred body, it said.
