Confession... I’m a thief not a lover!

An Arab man who was seized at a Kuwait house told police he came to steal not for the housemaid although they did not ask him what he was doing there yet.

Police had raided the house in Kuwait City after its owner phoned them to report the presence of a stranger on top of the house.

“When police arrived, the man thought of either jumping down from the third level or surrendering,” 'Al Anba' Arabic language daily said on Monday.

“He decided on the second option…but when they got him, he quickly told them he was there as a thief not a lover of the maid although they did not ask him yet.”

The paper did not say whether the man was telling the truth.
