Couple flees Saudi vice police... naked

A man caught naked with a woman by Saudi Arabia’s religious police in his car jumped behind the wheel and fled, prompting the patrol to leave them alone.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice were on a routine night patrol when they spotted the couple inside the car at a deserted place in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah.

“When the man saw the Commission members walking towards him, he jumped behind the wheel and fled. Both the man and the woman were naked,” Sada newspaper said.

It said commission members decided not to chase the couple in line with new instructions by their leaders not to chase suspected cars following a series of deadly incidents involving movie-like chases of offenders on the Gulf Kingdom’s roads.
