Dad-in-coma attends son's marriage in Saudi

A Saudi groom refused to attend his wedding unless his ill father, who has been in coma in hospital, is brought to the party, forcing doctors to agree to his request.

Abdullah Al Hayyas told doctors at hospital in the Eastern port of Dammam that he would not go ahead with his marriage unless his father attends his wedding.

“Doctors had no choice but to agree to his demand….although the father is in coma, he was brought to the wedding under medical supervision,” Alyaum daily said.
