Dad-of-two weds pregnant mistress in bogus ceremony

A 43-year-old married man with two children was in a fix when his mistress fell pregnant and wanted to get married before their child was born.

The man felt that he had no other option and decided to forge his way out of the situation. He hired a man to act as marriage registrar and used his real wedding certificae to create a bogus marriage certificate using computer software, reports AsiaOne.

The duo got married and the woman went ahead and gave birth to the couple's daughter, little aware of the truth behind their marriage ceremony.

The man got his new daughter's birth registered in the same way. He used his other children's birth certificates to create the new forged document.

His misdeeds came to light when his wife returned to work and submitted her marriage certificate and her daughter's birth certificate to claim maternity leave. She was informed that all the certificates submitted were forged.

The man was summoned by court and reprimanded as forgery is a serious offence.

The mistress told the media outside the court that she forgave her 'husband' as she had little choice in the matter.

The man had meanwhile decided to divorce his first wife and then get married to his mistress legally.
