The Emirates Red Crescent today said it has launched a programme to help Yemeni people with special needs.
As part of phase 1 of the support initiative, the ERC team distributed food packs and blankets to some 200 blind male and female people sponsored by the Al Dhiyaa Society in the Hadramout provincial capital of Mukalla.
The ERC said it will distribute another 200 food packs to eligible people in Hadramout province where this disadvantaged segment have been deprived of basic necessities for years.
