Etisalat announces free incoming calls during Haj

Here’s an early Eid gift for pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia for Haj before November 21.

UAE telecom provider, etisalat, has announced customers will be able to receive free unlimited incoming voice calls while roaming in the kingdom until the said date.

In addition, it has also announced permanent reduction of call tariffs for all voice calls to a discounted rate of up to 61 per cent while roaming in Saudi on the country’s Mobily network.

As per the revamped rates, all outgoing voice calls within Saudi and calls to the UAE and other GCC nations, along with any outgoing SMS messages will be charged at a flat rate of Dh1.25 per minute and SMS.

A one-time call connection fee of Dh2.5 will be applied for every outgoing international voice call. Customers will continue to enjoy free incoming SMS while roaming.

After the free offer period ending November 21, all incoming voice calls will be permanently charged at a reduced rate of Dh1.25 per minute while roaming in Saudi on the Mobily network.   

Etisalat’s postpaid, as well as Wasel prepaid customers are entitled to this offer. This includes postpaid customers who have already activated their roaming service, while other postpaid customers can enable their roaming service before travelling to Saudi.
