Housemaid held for kicking the Quran

Saudi Arabia’s religious police arrested an Asian housemaid for kicking the Quran at her employer’s house in the Gulf kingdom.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice arrested the unidentified maid after her employers in the northwestern town of Jouf reported her, Alsaudi newspaper said on Sunday.

“Her employer suspected her when she went to the bathroom and stayed for a long time…when he opened the door, he saw her kicking and stepping on the Quran. The maid told the police that she had done so because was angry.”
