Jet aborts take off after flier insists on 1st class

Published

A Saudi passenger aircraft on a domestic flight aborted take-off and returned to tarmac after a passenger usurped a 1st class seat and refused to leave.

Cabin crew tried to persuade the Saudi passenger to return to his seat but he refused, saying he was angry because he was moved from his booked seat to another to give way to another passenger with his family.

The crew told the captain of the flight from the capital Riyadh to the southern town of Bisha on Monday that the passenger is refusing to return to his seat.

“The captain then decided to abort take off…….he taxied back to the tarmac and radioed the airport security men, who came and took the passenger out of the plane,” Sabq Arabic language daily said.
