Jet in emergency landing for woman in labour

A Saudi aircraft en route to Ethiopia made an emergency landing at an airport in the Gulf Kingdom after a pregnant female passenger went into labour.

The Saudia airlines plane was flying from the capital Riyadh to Addis Ababa when the woman went into labour, according to Sabq newspaper.

It quoted airlines officials as saying the pilot made an emergency landing at the international airport of the southern Saudi province of Jazan.

“The woman was taken to hospital while the aircraft resumed its flight to Addis Ababa later,” an official said without identifying the woman.
