Kuwaiti shoots wife, then commits suicide

A 45-year-old Kuwaiti man shot his wife three times before committing suicide with the same gun in front of their children following a heated argument at their home in the Gulf emirate, the local press reported on Sunday.

The wife was rushed to hospital in the capital Kuwait City in a serious condition after she was shot in the head and the arm.

Newspapers, quoting police, said one bullet struck the woman in the head and another in the mouth.

A third bullet hit her arm before her husband aimed the gun at his head and shot himself in front of his adult sons.

His sons, 19 and 24 years, told police that their father went into a hysterical fit after a heated argument with their mother before he opened fire.
