‘Let it Rot’, is campaign launched in Kuwaiti that aims to fight fish traders who have increased prices recently.

The campaign was launched by Kuwaitis on social media four days ago to encourage Kuwaiti nationals and residents to stop buying fish and let it rot, in order to fight fish traders who have been increasing prices.

The campaign was launched after a kilo of ‘Zubaidi’ fish reached KD15, the same cost of an oil drum in the state.

After the launch of this campaign, most of fish markets in Kuwait were reported to be empty, or with only a handful of customers.

On the other hand, fish traders also posted some videos on the social media saying that this campaign will fail as people won’t be able to stop themselves from eating fish for long.
