Little girl dies after being forgotten in the car

A five-year-old Saudi girl died of thirst and suffocation after her parents forgot her inside a locked car for nearly 10 hours on a scorching summer day in the Gulf Kingdom, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The girl was rushed to hospital in the eastern province of Ihsaa by her father but doctors told him she was already dead, Alwatan said.

“The parents told police that they did not notice their daughter was in the car and thought she was at her grandfather’s house.”
