Man drops dead while praying in Makkah

A Saudi police officer went with his friends to a mosque in the holy town of Makkah for prayers, knelt down and prostrated with them for the first part of the prayers. When they straightened up again and shook him to follow, he just lay there motionless.

“He was dead…..he prostrated for the prayers along with the other people in the mosque and it was his last prayers,” Kabar newspaper said.

It quoted the mosque preacher as saying the man was one of the “most religious and benevolent” people he had ever known. “He was among the first to enter the mosque and among the last to leave,” the preacher told the paper, who did not mention the name or age of the officer.
