Man owns 3 buildings….from daughter’s begging

A Jordanian man with an empty bank account has become owner of three new buildings which he had constructed in the past 37 years-- funded by money begged by his daughter.

Fatima, a well-known beggar in Amman, has now decided to stop her activities and is seeking religious advice on whether she can repent.

“Fatima has decided to stop begging after doing this for nearly 37 years…her father, who has forced her to beg, used her money to building three villas each comprising three levels,” the Jordanian Arabic language daily Aldastour said. “Her brothers also benefited as each of them has a luxury car.”

The paper quoted Moslem scholars at a centre where Fatima sought advice as saying her repentance is accepted provided she refrains from begging.

The paper did not mention Fatima’s age but said she was forced to beg when she was a child.
