Man pays bail for prisoner who stabbed his son

A Saudi man paid bail and had his neighbour freed although he stabbed his son during a fight at their school in the Gulf kingdom, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

The father went to hospital to see his son after he was stabbed by a colleague during a scuffle at their school in the western town of Al Kharma.

“When the man learned that his son was stabbed by their neighbour, he went straight to the police station, dropped the charge and had him freed on bail,” Sabq daily said.

“The boy’s father who was out of town returned on the next day and went straight to his neighbour to apologise and thank him for this generous gesture which he said prevented further trouble between the two families.”
