Man threatens mom then commits suicide

A Saudi man believed to be suffering from mental illness threatened to kill his ageing mother before he locked himself up in his room and committed suicide.

The woman had called the police when her son nearly assaulted her at their house in the northwestern town of Hail.

“When police came, they found his room locked but he did not answer them…after they smashed the door, they found that he had stabbed himself in the neck,” ‘Sabq’ daily said, adding that the unnamed man died on the way to hospital.
