Man whips cleaner as friend films act

A  Saudi man used a stick to lash an Asian cleaning worker in the Gulf Kingdom while his friends filmed the act and published it online, a Saudi newspaper reported on Sunday.

The Saudi man was shown in the 71-second film lashing the cleaner, who was clad in orange uniform and was in pain, said Sharq Arabic language newspaper, which published the film that was put on YouTube.

The paper said the film was shot somewhere in Saudi Arabia by the Saudi man’s friends.

“This is a barbaric behavior by these Saudi men,” the paper said. “Sharq strongly denounces this act which does not reflect our tolerant religion and our ethics and traditions….we urge authorities to identify these people and severely punish them.”
