Meet the 14-year-old boy who already weighs 160 kilos

A Saudi boy aged around 14 years weighs in excess of 160 kg and was nearly two kg above average when he was born, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

Ayman Al Masoudi has been confined to his home for many years as he was unable to go to school, walk outside or go to the nearby mosque, his father said, quoted by the Saudi Arabic language daily Sabq.

“I took him to the hospital just after he was born and doctors told me he was suffering from gland problems,” his father said at his home in the western town of Lith.

He appealed for the health minister to help treat his son at a government hospital after he was rebuffed by several hospitals.
