News from Saudi: Child killed in fall from 10th floor

A four-year-old Saudi girl died after falling off the balcony of the 10th floor in a hotel in the Gulf Kingdom while her parents were inside the room.

Police said the girl was playing on her own in the balcony and climbed up the fender before losing her balance and plunging down.

Newspapers said the girl was killed instantly on impact while police are still investigating the incident at the hotel in the southern province of Asir.
 
Aborted infant found in bag on Saudi road

Saudi police on a routine patrol in a Saudi neighborhood stumbled across a blood-stained bag dumped on a road pavement. When they opened it, they found what they believed was an aborted incomplete infant.

Doctors at a government hospital in the capital Riyadh confirmed it was an aborted infant in this third month but they could not identify the mother.

Police believe a woman had aborted the baby and dumped it into a bag on the road near the hospital, according to Sabq newspaper.
