Old woman’s heart stops for 16 minutes

An old Saudi woman’s heart stopped for nearly 16 minutes but she was back to life after medical teams applied electric shocks on her.

The woman was rushed by an ambulance to hospital in a western Saudi town after she lost her consciousness at home.
“Medics in the ambulance found that the woman’s heart and breathing system stopped.

"After they gave her oxygen and applied electric shocks, her heart began pounding again just before arrival in hospital.
"She was admitted to the intensive care unit,” the Arabic language daily Okaz said without mentioning the woman’s age.
