One year jail, 300 lashes for beating mother

A Saudi court sentenced a local man to one year in prison for beating up his mother after an argument, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

The court in the northern town of Arar also ordered the unnamed man, in his 30s, to be lashed 300 times with the whip, 'Sabq' said.
