Kuwaiti traffic police seized more than 400 cars in a sudden raid on offending road users through the Gulf emirate at the week end, a local newspaper reported on Monday.
The two-day campaign, involving hundreds of policemen, covered the country’s six provinces and resulted in the impounding of 403 vehicles and issuance of nearly 7,000 traffic fines, Alqabas said.
The offences involved speeding, reckless driving, failure to fasten the seat belt, using mobile phones while driving, expiry of car insurance, illegal modifications to vehicles and other violations.
