A Saudi flight from Egypt to the Gulf kingdom was delayed after a fight between the flight captain and the chief steward, believed to be both Saudis.
Security men at Cairo airport had to intervene to end the scuffle that resulted in injuries to the pilot who was taken to hospital for treatment.
The Saudi Arabic language daily Sabq said the government-owned Saudia Airlines sent another captain to Cairo to pilot the aircraft to the western Saudi town of Medina.
