Policeman asks Filipina for sex to waive traffic fine

A 30-year-old policeman, MKK, allegedly asked a Filipina to have sex with him against removing a traffic accident fine he had issued to her.

EMH, 40, manager, testified before the Dubai Court that she hit a car while moving out of the parking on Oud Metha Street on Friday, March 9.

The driver of the car she hit asked her to call the police although it was a very just a small scratch. She called the police and a patrol arrived on the opposite direction.

She stopped the patrol and the policeman made flattering expressions by saying “Filipino beautiful”.

The policeman made the accident report and gave her the white and the rose copies of the report. When enquired about the fine, the policeman told her it is between Dh1,000 to Dh5,000 and ten black points.

“I got shock for such a high fine and asked him whether it can be less because the accident is very minor. He told me that he will check with his senior in the office to reduce the fine between Dh200 to Dh400 and the black points to 4. He supplied me with his mobile number and asked me to call him in the afternoon; he told his name Mohammed Oman.”

The lady called him at around 3pm. “He told me that he is exercising and will finish in 2 hours and asked me if we can meet. I told him that I am shopping with a friend in Abu Dhabi and if I finish before 10pm I will SMS him.

"He asked me not to do so but to call him instead. I called him at 10pm and appologised that I cannot leave my friend in Abu Dhabi and drive to Dubai. He tried to convince me to come to Dubai by taxi, but I refused and asked him why he wants to meet me in his car.

"He said that he needs the white copy of the report and talk to her. I suggested to meet in a coffee shop, but he refused. Then I excused that my husband does not allow me to meet a man alone, and we agreed to meet on Monday,” she told the court.

“On Saturday, at around 8.30 pm he called me to ensure the meeting and then I asked him to answer me honestly what does he want.

"He told me that he admires me and he wants to have sex with her in his car. I told him that I am a married woman and he is also a married man and she cannot do that.

"I ignored his phone calls he made later on that day. Instead I sent a letter to a police officer via email with a copy of the traffic report, then I reported the incident to police who arranged with me to trap him red handed,” she testified.

Police officers repeated the same testimony.

The court will reconvene on June 14.
