Posting pictures on Snapchat: 24 men, women held at Saudi party

Saudi Arabia’s religious police arrested 13 men and 11 women at a party during a raid on their apartment in the Gulf kingdom.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice stormed the flat in the Western town of Taif after receiving calls from neighbors.

‘Sabq’ newspaper quoted a police source as saying those arrested included men and women from Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries, and that three of them work at “important government sectors”.

“They were caught filming the party and posting pictures on Snapchat to lure in more girls,” a source said, adding that a large quantity of liquor was seized.
