Road accidents killed 186 people in Kuwait in the first half of 2010 and nationals were the main victim, according to the Interior Ministry.
In a study published by Alqabas Arabic language newspaper Thursday, the Ministry said 74 Kuwaitis died in the mishaps while there were 60 deaths from Asia and 41 from other Arab countries.
The casualties included 161 males and 25 females while Kuwaiti victims involved 69 men and five women, the study said.
Most of the accidents were caused by violations of traffic rules while those caused by men accounted for nearly 75 per cent, it added.
