Saudi aircraft lands safely after bird hit

A Saudi passenger aircraft landed safely in the Gulf Kingdom after hitting birds just before arrival at the airport, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The Saudi Airlines plane was en route from the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah to the eastern port of Dammam on Friday when it hit the birds in air just before landing.

“The incident did not result in any casualties among the passengers and cabin crew. The plane landed safely at King Fahd Airport in Dammam,” Sabq Arabic language daily said, quoting airport sources.
