Saudi child stuck inside washing machine saved

A three-year-old Saudi boy was saved after he was stuck inside a washing machine at his home in the Gulf kingdom, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The boy was playing near the open machine and waited for his mother to go into another room before jumping inside, Sabq said.

Civil defence men had to use their cutters to split open the machine after they failed to pull the boy out, the paper said in a report from the southern Najran town.

“Civil defence men cut off parts of the washing machine and pulled the boy out safely,” it said, quoting a civil defence spokesman.
