Saudi child swallowed by manhole

A two-year-old Saudi boy was swallowed by a manhole while he was playing with his friends in their neighbourhood in the Gulf Kingdom.

The boy was being chased by other children when he plunged into the sewage pit that had been left uncovered by workers.

Civil defence men plucked the boy out but he was dead, ‘Sabq’ newspaper said in a report from the Central Al Qasseem province.
